PQ Talks at Prague Quadrennial 2023

Prague Quadrennial is the world’s largest festival for scenography, costume design and theatre architecture. PQ 2023 took place 8-18.6.23, with thousands of visitors from all over the world. I attended five days, and it was such an inspiring experience to see all the exhibitions and lectures. I met so many colleagues from all over the world, and the talks that I had presented, opened up for many interesting discussions.

I was part of the final panel "Ecoscenographic Futures", at Ecoscenography Day at PQ Talks. It was an honour to present and discuss with Ang Xiao Ting, Vespa Laine and the moderators Maranne Lavoie and Tanja Beer, who organised and led the whole day. The auditorium was crowded for the whole day, such an inspiration! In the photoslides for this panel I presented my work with Bodil Rørtveit, Ingrid Askvik, Vibeke Flesland Havre, Julie Jensen, and many other of my fantastic colleagues and collaborators.

I was also chosen to present a Flash Talk about “Kunsten å se” (The Art of Seeing), a performance for hearing, deaf and hearing impaired audiences. This talk was part of a session on Day 1 with so many inspiring projects focusing on accessibility in the arts. I created “Kunsten å se” together with Thea Elisabeth Skallevold, and an amazing team: Mari Hesjedal, Oscar Udbye, Erik Hedin, Per Vidar G. Anfinnsen, Håvard Kalseth, Camilla Svingen and more.

Thank you, PQ, for hosting so many inspiring talks and lectures, exhibitions and performances, and bringing Scenography, Costume Design and design for performance art into the forefront of the disscussion!
